My Services
Each session is crafted with moody storytelling and a boutique experience from start to finish. Whether you're a single soul, a couple, or a family wanting to be seen in an honest, heartfelt way, these collections are designed to hold your story with care. Descriptions say "at least" because I believe if we made the memory, why hold it back? You get to still pick your faves and I will find some extra too.
To reserve your date, a $100 retainer is required at the time of booking. This retainer holds your session on my calendar and is applied toward your final balance. Final balance is due no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the shoot.
Because each session is custom-crafted and time is set aside just for you, the retainer is non-refundable. This ensures I can fully prepare, plan, and block out your chosen date with care. If we need to reschedule due to weather, we can reschedule for no extra charge (twice per booking). Once your retainer is paid and your contract is signed,
your session is officially yours, and the storytelling can begin!
You will get to pick from the proofs your favorites for your collection, and I will throw in some extras I love/I had more creative liberty with!
The Dogwood Collection
This simple and heartfelt session is inspired by Virginia's state tree. Perfect for couples, singles, or families wanting a short yet sweet authentic session.

Rescheduling and Weather
Life happens and Virginia weather has a mind of its own.
If you need to reschedule, I simply ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so I can offer your time slot to another family or couple. There’s no fee for rescheduling with proper notice, and we’ll work together to find the next date that fits your schedule.
For weather, I follow the light.
If the forecast calls for heavy rain, storms, or conditions that would distract from the warm, moody tones we’re aiming for, I’ll reach out the day before or the morning of your session. Together we’ll decide whether to adjust the timing, switch locations, or choose a new date that gives us the atmosphere we want.
Soft clouds, mist, or a bit of drizzle often make for beautiful, cinematic images, so I only reschedule when the weather truly works against us.
My goal is always simple:
to create a relaxed experience and photographs you’ll love without the stress.
Optional Add-Ons
-The Golden Hour Extension (Extra Time) 100 USD per 30 minutes
-Priority Delivery (Full gallery delivered within 72 hours) 150 USD
ALL client galleries have a shop to purchase prints, canvas, etc. Digital files will be delivered by Zachary Hazel Photography, anything ordered from the shop will be processed by a 3rd party lab not affiliated with Zachary Hazel Photography.

Enjoy the day and get photos after
This is the most fun and memorable part of the whole process, when we actually get to create together! After our shoot you will get your proof gallery within 3-7 business days and final edits 2-3 weeks following.
Session day is all about slowing down and settling in. When you arrive, there’s no rush and no pressure just a chance to breathe, connect, and step into a space where your story can unfold naturally.
I’ll gently guide you into movement and posing that feels comfortable and true to you. Nothing stiff or overly posed, just soft direction, easy prompts, and the kind of moments that feel like you, whether you’re solo or wrapped up with someone you love.
We’ll wander, explore, laugh, and pause when the light feels right.
Expect a mix of quiet moments, warm interactions, and a few playful ones, too.
If you feel a little nervous at the beginning, that’s completely normal. Most people do. Within a few minutes, the tension lifts and things start to feel easy and familiar like we’re just taking a walk together with a camera in hand.
By the end of your session, you’ll leave feeling grounded, connected, and excited to see your images. The whole experience is designed to be calm, thoughtful, and beautifully intentional… a gentle step away from the noise of everyday life.
